<span;>A completely individual transformation and the first numbered piece in our Heron collection.
<span;>Originally a contemporary three-drawer oak cabinet, Heron No.001 has been taken through all three elements of The Spirit Within process.
<span;>The interior has been carefully restored, retaining the warmth and character of its original contemporary timber finish.
<span;>Externally, the piece has been Reborn. The original finish was stripped back and the exposed timber treated to create the wonderfully deep, aged and textured appearance now visible throughout the frame. Rather than concealing the wood beneath paint, this process allows the grain and imperfections of the original timber to remain an important part of the finished design.
<span;>Finally, it has been Reimagined.
<span;>A rich ochre backdrop wraps around the cabinet, carrying an original wetland-inspired design across both the drawer fronts and side panels. Reeds rise from the water, dragonflies appear amongst the planting and a striking heron stretches across the three individual drawer fronts, turning them into one continuous image.
<span;>Antique-style drop handles complete the transformation.
<span;>This isn't a factory-produced design or a vinyl furniture wrap. The decorative work has been created by hand using bespoke stencils designed specifically for The Spirit Within, making the small variations inherent in the process part of the character of the piece.
